GCP Data Engineer - Reporting & Dashboard Developer

Job Description

A healthcare insurance client is seeking a GCP Data Engineer with data‑driven reporting & dashboard development expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support a Grievances & Appeals program focused on building a scalable, enterprise data repository across all lines of business. This role is responsible for extracting, transforming, and modeling data from GCP services such as Big Query, Cloud Storage, and Dataflow;

developing automated data pipelines; and creating high‑performing, interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI. The developer will collaborate closely with business, operations, and compliance stakeholders to translate reporting requirements into actionable analytics, delivering insights on volumes, turnaround times, outcomes, and regulatory metrics. Responsibilities include ensuring data accuracy and consistency, optimizing dashboards for performance and usability, integrating multiple data sources, and adhering to data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

The ideal candidate has strong SQL and data modeling skills, experience with ETL and workflow automation, and excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities in a regulated, enterprise‑scale environment.

• 6+ years of experience as a GCP Data Engineer
• Expertise with Big Query and Cloud Storage for enterprise scale data extraction and analytics
• Advanced SQL proficiency with the ability to model, transform, and optimize large, complex datasets for reporting and analytics
• Proven expertise building interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar BI tools
• Experience developing and supporting automated data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and reporting workflows
