Job Description
Dynatrace Platform Expertise

• Installing and configuring the Dynatrace One Agent on Linux/Windows hosts.
• Deploying the Dynatrace Active Gate (Environment Active Gate + Cluster Active Gate).
• Experience integrating Dynatrace with Kubernetes / GKE, including:
• One Agent Operator / Dynatrace Operator
• Kubernetes monitoring setup
• Auto discovery setup
• Setting up deployment automation using Helm charts or Terraform.

Dynatrace Environment Configuration
" Configuring:
o Management zones
o Tagging rules (automatic and manual)
o Host groups
o Alerting profiles & maintenance windows
" Setting up synthetic monitors, log ingestion, and custom event alerts.

Monitoring & Observability Skills
" Configuring infrastructure monitoring for GCP services (e.g., Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL, GKE, Cloud Storage).
" Enabling APM for Java, .NET, Python, Node.js applications running on GCP.
" Setting up distributed tracing, service flow, and problem detection rules.
" Knowledge of Open Telemetry (optional but valuable).

Dashboarding & Analytics Skills
" Building Dynatrace dashboards using:
o Custom charts
o Data explorer
o Dashboard JSON templates
" Experience creating role based dashboards for leadership, operations, and development teams.
" Skill in defining KPIs, SLOs/SLIs, and visualization best practices.

Integration & Automation Skills
" Integrating Dynatrace with:
o GCP Cloud Logging
o Cloud Monitoring (Stackdriver)
o Service Now, Jira, Pager Duty, or other ITSM tools
" CI/CD pipeline integration (Azure Dev Ops, Git Hub Actions, Jenkins).
" API knowledge for:
o Metric ingestion (Metrics API v2)
o Configuration API
o Automation of tagging and alerting rules
Security & Governance
" Understanding Dynatrace IAM roles and permissions.
" Ensuring tag based governance and secure traffic between One Agents and Active Gates.
" Compliance with enterprise monitoring policies.
