Compensation OverviewAnnual base salary range: $ - $ (varies based on scope, complexity, location and experience). Performance-based cash incentive awards also available.
OpportunityTravelers Data Engineering team builds pipelines that provide enterprise-wide data access. As a Data Engineer you will grow and transform the analytics landscape, leverage data programming techniques, and support AI, ML, and business intelligence.
Responsibilities- Build and operationalize complex data solutions, correct problems, apply transformations, and recommend data cleansing/quality solutions.
- Design complex data solutions and perform analysis of complex sources to determine value and use.
- Incorporate core data management competencies including governance, security and quality.
- Collaborate within and across teams to support delivery and educate end users on data products and analytic environments.
- Perform data and system analysis, assessment and resolution for complex defects and incidents and correct as appropriate.
- Test data movement, transformation code, and data components.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related field or equivalent.
- Eight years of related experience.
- AWS expertise.
- Snowflake migration experience.
- Proficient in Mongo
DB querying, writing, optimizing, and supporting queries. - Experience managing and maintaining Mongo
DB databases. - Highly proficient in tools, techniques, and modern software engineering practices.
- Ability to deliver work at a steady, predictable pace, release in small batches, and negotiate tradeoffs.
- Demonstrated domain expertise and in-depth knowledge of systems.
- Strong problem‑solving skills ensuring longevity of systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to lead team members and create a safe learning environment.
- Self‑motivation in identifying opportunities and tracking team efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or equivalent.
- 4 additional years of data engineering experience.
