Technology Engineer – ITSM Analysis & Resiliency
Location:
Hartford, CT (hybrid). This role is part of Enterprise Technology Services and focuses on analyzing incident trends and data across a broad set of technologies to improve the stability and resiliency of critical enterprise systems. The position involves translating findings into executive‑ready presentations and reports for leadership.
Salary range: $81,500 – $134,500 annually.
Key Responsibilities- Use data analytics tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint (additional analytics or visualization platforms are a plus) to analyze incident trends and technology performance data.
- Identify patterns, conduct root‑cause analysis (e.g., the 5
Whys), and recommend improvements. - Drive lessons learned, support root‑cause investigations, and remediate systemic root causes.
- Propose and implement automation solutions for analysis and operational efficiency.
- Communicate findings to leadership, crafting concise and actionable messages and executive‑ready presentations and reports.
- Apply AI and prompt‑engineering tools to accelerate analysis, synthesize large data sets, and produce polished outputs.
- Collaborate with ETS and business partners, negotiate solutions, and influence outcomes.
- Manage work within established priorities, maintain quality control and security protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a STEM field, or equivalent work experience plus at least one year of technology operations or engineering experience.
- Three years of experience in technology (preferred).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint; additional analytics or visualization platforms are a plus.
- Knowledge of infrastructure technologies (network, database, server, storage, cloud) and operating systems.
- Familiarity with IT service management processes; ITIL experience is a plus.
- Self‑driven, accountable, and comfortable working autonomously.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with curiosity and creativity.
- Experience with AI tools and the ability to craft effective prompts is desired.
