Mainframe Onsite Developer

Having 2+ years of experience in development and support of MF based applications into insurance domain

Responsibilities:

• Ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of the technical environments in which the system operates when joining a new project / team
• Ability to create technical/design artifacts to demonstrate technical flows, specification and interfaces of the system
• Mastery of application design skills, methods and tools
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, ability to tailor message to different audiences
• Facilitates and/or participates in the design/development process

Requirements:

• Able to work independently in Mainframe systems using COBOL, IMS, DB2, JCL, MQ, ENDEVOR, CASEGEN
• Good understanding of DB2 and IMS and related tools like QMF, SPUFI, AQT etc.
• Ability to work on WORD, VISIO, EXCEL
• Working experience in IMS is mandatory
• Able to code, debug and unit test effectively in mainframe environment
• Well versed with SDLC and Quality processes
• Should be able to collaborate with client and multiple vendors to solve problems
• Good team player with excellent communication (Both Verbal and Written) and should have ability to work under pressure

Nice to have:

• Prior Experience in Insurance or banking or healthcare domain
