Overview
Position:
Service Now Risk Products Engineer. Responsible for the development, configuration, integration, and operational support of Service Now IT Integrated Risk Management (IRM), Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC), and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) modules. Partners with Risk, Compliance, Security, IT Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, automated, and compliant Service Now solutions that support enterprise risk management and service delivery objectives.
- Deep understanding of the TPRM and IRM modules of Service Now to advise on quality solutions to business needs
- Work independently as a member of a engineering team
- Translate user stories into code using best practices that reduce technical debt on the platform
- Guide the product through automation and AI-assisted capabilities where applicable
- Triage, investigate, and resolve issues in accordance with enterprise SLAs
- Develop approved stories in bi-weekly sprint cadences
- Present non-standard technical solutions in architecture boards for approval
- Refine technical requirements of new stories prior to development
- Assist in code and peer review of other team member stories
- Ensure production delivery during releases
- Remediate defects in response to upgrades, incident tickets, and other unplanned events
- Provide thought leadership aligned to leading product practices
- 5+ years' experience with Service Now IRM (Integrated Risk Management) and/or TPRM (Third-Party Risk Management) products
- Service Now IRM modules, including Risk Management, Policy & Compliance, Issues Management, Audit Management, and Third‑Party Risk Management workflows
- Experience turning risk, compliance, audit, security, and vendor-risk requirements into stories aligned to Service Now out-of-box capabilities
- Experience collaborating with Service Now developers or architects on configuration decisions
- Familiarity with regulatory and risk frameworks that drive IRM/TPRM implementations (e.g., SOX, SOC, HIPAA, GDPR, operational resilience, vendor cybersecurity risk)
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Certified Implementation Specialist – IRM or TPRM
- Experience supporting highly regulated environments (e.g., healthcare, financial services, insurance, or large enterprise risk programs)
- Microcertifications in Service Now AI, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB or related disciplines
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
