Service Now SAM Architect
LTIMindtree is looking for a Service Now SAM CMDB Architect to lead enterprise‑scale transformations for global clients.
The ideal candidate will be a hands‑on architect with strong consulting skills capable of owning solution architecture governance roadmap and delivery excellence for SAM Pro, CMDB and CSDM‑aligned outcomes.
This role partners with client stakeholders, program leadership and cross‑functional teams to deliver a high‑quality single source of truth CMDB and software compliance optimization SAM with measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities- Own end‑to‑end architecture for Service Now SAM Pro CMDB programs across one or more client engagements.
- Define target‑state architecture covering data model, processes, integrations, security, performance and scalability.
- Translate business objectives into platform design, license compliance, reclamation, cost optimization, audit readiness and CMDB trust.
- Provide architectural governance and design assurance across multiple work streams (ITAM, ITOM, Sec Ops, ITSM, Discovery).
- Define CMDB operating model and governance aligned to CSDM concepts: products/services, service portfolio, technical services, apps, infrastructure.
- Establish CI class strategy, relationship model, ownership model, naming standards and lifecycle policies.
- Design and implement CMDB health and data quality KPI framework (completeness, correctness, compliance).
- Configure and govern Identification Reconciliation Engine (IRE) rules, CI identification and reconciliation patterns.
- Lead SAM Pro capabilities including software normalization, reconciliation, entitlement management.
- Execute license compliance calculations and effective license position design.
- Develop publisher‑specific approaches (Microsoft, Oracle, Adobe, IBM, SAP) based on client footprint.
- Define software lifecycle policies: request, approve, deploy, reclaim, retire.
- Drive optimization outcomes through harvesting, true‑up planning, unused software reclamation and SaaS optimization.
- Architect integrations and data ingestion with tools such as Endpoint Discovery, SCCM, MECM, Intune, JAMF, Tanium, Service Now Discovery.
- Integrate ITAM tools (Flexera, Snow, etc.) and cloud inventory feeds (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Ensure end‑to‑end data lineage across Asset, CMDB, SAM and define reconciliation rules.
- Define data migration approach for legacy asset repositories (Service Now) including mapping validation and cutover.
- Lead discovery workshops, define requirements, conduct fit‑gap analysis and develop solution options with trade‑offs.
- Develop and present client‑ready deliverables: architecture diagrams, roadmaps, governance models and executive decks.
- Guide clients through maturity journey (CMDB trust, SAM maturity, audit readiness).
- Provide leadership in design reviews, solution sign‑offs and steering committee updates.
- Drive best practices across Agile delivery (epics, stories, acceptance criteria, test strategy, release planning).
- Mentor developers/analysts, enforce technical standards and ensure quality gates, code reviews, performance, security.
- Collaborate with program leadership on resourcing estimation, risk management and delivery governance.
- Strong hands‑on architecture experience with SAM Pro, CMDB, CSDM and Service Now Discovery (highly preferred).
- Experience with Service Mapping (good to have).
- CI taxonomy, relationship modeling and CI lifecycle.
- IRE identification rules and reconciliation logic.
- CMDB health audits and continuous improvement.
- Strong understanding of licensing models, optimization approaches and agreements (named user, device, core‑processor, subscription, SaaS, concurrent, enterprise).
- Experience supporting audits and compliance reporting (publisher and internal).
