** What Is the Opportunity?*
* We're in the middle of a transformation in how we rate, model, and deploy across Business Insurance via the Earnix platform. We're looking for a technical actuarial leader to join this high-impact and cross-functional team that operates at the intersection of actuarial science, data engineering, technology, and rating specialists. This highly visible lead role for the Earnix rating model transformation sits within the Business Insurance Actuarial Product Cross-Line Initiatives group and will lead a team of three actuarial analysts.  

You'll own the technical buildout, expansion, and analytical capabilities  of our new pricing engine across multiple lines of business Specifically, build and refine rating algorithms, lead automation efforts, partner with data science and data engineering, champion the platform internally, shape new workflows, advocate for the company on vendor calls, foster a culture of innovation and manage a team of three.

* + Strong actuarial background with deep comfort in technical and data-heavy environments

+ Familiarity with rating engine platforms or commercial lines pricing

** What Will You Do?*
* + Strategy:

+ Assess, prioritize, influence and communicate strategic initiative options to senior leaders.

+ Promote efficiency across primary working group, balancing additional effort against incremental lift gained from work.

+ Consistently provide direction and review others' analytical work.

+ Begin to translate ambiguous business needs into analytical solutions.

+ Provide support as necessary for initiatives across the Enterprise within the scope of influence.

+ Communication:

+ Communicates on a regular basis with staff, peers and business partners and on an occasional basis with senior leaders.
