Our client is seeking a QA Tester to support a high-profile Medicaid benefits initiative driven by new legislative and policy changes impacting eligibility and benefits administration. This individual will be responsible for validating Salesforce-based applications and functionality that support Medicaid programs, ensuring system enhancements, business rules, eligibility determinations, and workflows meet regulatory and operational requirements. The role will focus heavily on manual testing activities including test planning, test case development, execution, defect tracking, and collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure system quality, data integrity, and user experience.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC), with experience performing functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, and API testing. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining detailed test cases, scenarios, and scripts, reviewing business and technical requirements, validating complex Medicaid eligibility rules, documenting and tracking defects through resolution, and utilizing tools such as Jira and Xray to manage testing efforts.
Candidates should be comfortable working independently and within cross-functional teams, balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and quickly learning complex Medicaid business processes. While the primary focus is manual testing, experience with Selenium, Postman, SQL data validation, and automated testing frameworks is highly desirable to support future automation initiatives.
