Senior GCP Engineer (Expert)

Hartford, CT - must be on-site in Hartford

Implementing a self-service model for GCP within my team supporting Aetna Technology.

Must be expert level GCP

Must have experience with large enterprise cloud migration

Understand technology, cloud migration experience, Dev Ops, monitoring tools, database understanding, containerization, microservices, etc. Creating terraform scripts for automation, GCP IAM security background. Network/infrastructure background as well.

Interview process will be manager and a peer, some of tech leads? GCP Cloud Engineering team will participate as part of the rounds too. Must be able to drive, communicate well, execute with urgency, own it, etc.

Candidate needs to be on the dev side but really understand infrastructure as well.

We are looking to move to a self-service automation model, so today, we have to work through infra for servers, network, etc. We are looking to do that internally now. So something like terraform creation/automation is vital to this GCP role.

Position will be based in Hartford CT reporting to me asap. There is a possible opportunity to convert after approximately 3-6 months.

Experience working in an Agile environment Cloud experience (Azure/GCP) Dev Ops experience Monitoring/alerting tool experience Solid communicator. Net development
