Our client, an A+ Rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add Senior Workers’ Compensation Claims Consultant to their Connecticut operations. This role will consist of handling the complex litigated Lost Time files from inception to close. Candidates must be well versed in Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Law and hold an active CT Adjuster’s License. This role can be Fully Remote or Hybrid position with a ton of growth opportunity!
- Handle complex litigated and non-litigated Connecticut Workers’ Compensation claims with minimal supervision and guidance from the manager.
- Prepare reports on investigation, settlements, denials of claims and evaluations of involved parties; timely administration of statutory medical and indemnity benefits throughout the life of the claim.
- Sets reserves within authority limits for medical, indemnity and expenses and recommends reserve changes to Team Leader throughout the life of the claim.
- Research and formulate a basis on which coverage decisions will be made, conduct thorough investigations, manage medical treatment, influence early full return-to-work, guide litigation and control claim outcomes.
- Responsibilities also include active file management, effective reserving practices, participation in training activities, presentation of serious claims to committee and supervision of litigated files.
- Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and adherence to department Best Practices.
- 8+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
- Must be well versed in CT Workers’ Compensation Law
- Must hold an active CT Adjuster’s License
- Must have experience handling litigated files.
- Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
- High School Diploma;
Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
- $90,000 to $110,000 annual base salary plus Yearly Bonus
