Bankruptcy Paralegal
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Bankruptcy Paralegal to support our legal team. In this role, you will prepare bankruptcy-related legal documents—including petitions, schedules, pleadings, and affidavits—conduct legal research, and manage case files to ensure information is accurate, organized, and readily accessible. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated paralegal looking to grow and advance their career in bankruptcy law.

$55,000 – $75,000 yearly
ResponsibilitiesConduct client interviews to gather financial and legal information related to bankruptcy matters
Prepare and file bankruptcy documents, including petitions, schedules, statements, pleadings, and correspondence
Assist attorneys with hearing preparation by organizing documentation, conducting research, preparing clients, and filing pleadings through Turbo Court and other court systems as required
Maintain regular contact with clients through phone calls, Zoom meetings, and in-person consultations
Perform administrative duties such as filing, organizing client binders, and maintaining accurate and complete case files
Manage bankruptcy cases to ensure all deadlines are met, including tracking key dates and preparing monthly or bi-monthly case summaries
Communicate with courts, trustees, creditors, and other parties as needed
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a law firm under an attorney, with direct bankruptcy experience preferred
Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program strongly preferred
Familiarity with bankruptcy court procedures, filing systems, and deadlines
