Job Details

We are hiring a mid level Commercial Real Estate and Development Associate to support a sophisticated real estate practice serving developers and institutional clients in Boston or Hartford, Connecticut.

Responsibilities

  • Represent developers and borrowers in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, public and private financing, and development matters.
  • Draft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, loan documents, development agreements, and related transactional documents.
  • Perform title and survey review, due diligence coordination, and issue resolution through closing.
  • Support zoning, land use, and entitlement matters tied to development projects.
  • Collaborate directly with partners and clients on high value transactions involving local and national developers.
  • Contribute to affordable housing development matters and related regulatory work.

Qualifications

  • JD with active and good standing bar admission or eligibility to waive in.
  • Four to six years of commercial real estate transactional experience representing developers and borrowers.
  • Strong fundamentals in title review, survey analysis, acquisition documentation, and loan document review.
  • Experience handling complex financings and development transactions.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, research, and client communication skills.
  • Genuine interest in affordable housing development and long term practice growth.
