Position: Maintenance Technician I (Huntington Woods - Maintenance Apprentice)

Maintenance Apprentices (Greater Hartford, Connecticut Region)

Winn Companies is looking for two Maintenance Apprentices to join our team at our portfolio of affordable housing properties across the Greater Hartford, Connecticut Region
. Pay range for the openings below is $21.00-$22.00 per hour.

Two full-time openings are located at the following properties:

  • Executive Square (Wethersfield, CT)
  • Huntington Woods (Bristol, CT)

This 12‑month career development program combines on‑the‑job training with expert instruction from Winn Companies. Participants gain experience as full‑time maintenance apprentices along with the following:

  • 2,000 hours of on‑the‑job training and 150 hours of technical instruction at The Peterson School in Worcester, MA in the trades and property management to develop the skills needed to become future industry leaders. Travel and time is compensated for onsite training.
  • Nationally recognized credentials, including CPR and Safety Certification, OSHA 10, and Certified Maintenance Apprentice Technician (CAMT), as well as industry‑specific credentials.
  • A strong professional foundation and understanding of the trades, safety, customer service, and professional communication skills that will position graduates of the program to advance in facilities management with progressive wage increases.
