This organization has a strong regional presence and is part of a larger national group known for delivering high‑quality solutions across multiple sectors. With decades of sustained growth and a commitment to service excellence, the company combines the resources of a national footprint with the personalized customer focus of a trusted local brand.
The ideal candidate will have managerial accounting experience and the ability to lead and develop a small team while supporting key financial operations. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected organization in a hands‑on leadership role.

The successful candidate will step into a leadership position with the ability to strengthen financial processes, guide systems improvements, and help elevate the performance of a developing accounting team. It’s a dynamic environment where the right individual can directly influence outcomes and shape the future state of financial operations.
Aboutthe Role
The individual in this position will oversee a small accounting team (4–5 employees) while continuing to perform hands‑on accounting responsibilities. Key duties include managing month‑and‑year‑end close processes, producing complete financial statements, and ensuring adherence to GAAP. Reporting directly to corporate leadership, this person will identify issues, propose solutions, and either execute improvements personally or lead their team in doing so.
A major initiative in the near term will be transitioning from an older legacy ERP system to a new platform, so candidates must be technologically adept, quick to learn, and comfortable navigating system conversions.
Ideal Candidate Profile- 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, or similar role for a multi‑million‑dollar organization
- Strong command of GAAP, financial analysis, and internal reporting processes
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team while maintaining individual contributor responsibilities
- Familiarity with ERP systems and willingness to lead or support a software migration
- Experience with construction or project‑based billing is highly beneficial
