Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.

As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?

As a Director, Business Transformation Change you will be responsible for delivering organizational Change Management support to one or more large strategic initiatives within Business Insurance. In this role, you will leverage the Travelers organizational change management framework to define and articulate appropriate change management strategies that align with Business Unit objectives and enhances the organization's adaptability to evolving market conditions.

Additionally, you will participate in the Enterprise Organization Change Management Community of Practice and help develop champions for effective change adoption.

What Will You Do?
  • Deliver strategic change management support to assigned large-scale change initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to program leadership, business unit leaders and partnering organizations on assigned initiatives.
  • Proactively look for opportunities to minimize change fatigue by strategically aligning change interventions and programming where appropriate.
  • Ensure all impacted employees are informed, engaged, and supported throughout the change process, and that leaders are aligned and ready to drive the transformation.
  • Conduct thorough change assessments to evaluate change impacts. change readiness, organizational culture, and change resistance and implement strategies to prepare the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate assigned programs for leadership alignment opportunities and stakeholder engagement needs, working with program leadership to incorporate findings into program approaches and change management strategies, as appropriate.
  • Develop and socialize right-sized communications, engagement and training strategies with business and delivery partners, securing buy-in for execution and project managing the delivery.
  • Define adoption goals and metrics and develop action plans to achieve targeted results.
  • Serve as a thought leader in change management practices to other Travelers and Business Insurance employees, and stay informed about industry trends and emerging methodologies.
  • Deliver change management coaching to ad-hoc change leaders as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Change Leadership, or a related field.
  • Six or more years of experience in change management, project management, or organizational development.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability to analyze complex situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders to understand their needs and concerns and ensure their buy-in and support for change initiatives.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of change management methodologies and tools is encouraged.
  • Certification in one or more Change Management or similarly recognized group such as Pro Sci, CCMP, etc. is encouraged.
