Police Credit Union of Connecticut is seeking a dynamic, member-focused President & Chief Executive Officer to lead its $43 million, well-capitalized credit union serving law enforcement professionals statewide. The ideal candidate will bring strong lending and operational expertise, a collaborative leadership style, and a commitment to serving the unique needs of the law enforcement community. This is a hands‑on executive opportunity to guide a growing, financially strong credit union through its next stage of modernization and strategic growth.

Purpose

The President & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management of Police Credit Union of Connecticut (Credit Union). Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the CEO ensures the Credit Union’s financial strength, regulatory compliance, member satisfaction, and organizational culture remain aligned with the traditions of the law enforcement community it serves.

This individual will lead with agility, vision, and authenticity—balancing traditional values and loyalty with the vision and modern practices needed to guide the Credit Union through its next phase of growth and evolution.

Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive sustainable growth, operational excellence, and member value.
  • Lead the organization through the transition from a traditional to a modern credit union environment while preserving its cooperative and service‑oriented ethos.
  • Identify emerging opportunities to expand the Credit Union’s reach within the law enforcement community and its broader field of membership.
  • Inspire innovation and responsible risk‑taking in pursuit of mission‑aligned growth.
  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations, ensuring efficiency, member service excellence, and prudent financial stewardship.
  • Provide direction in accounting, lending, ALM, compliance, risk management, retail operations, IT, and human resources.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, and NCUA requirements.
  • Develop and monitor budgets consistent with strategic and financial goals, maintaining sound capital and liquidity positions.
Lending & Business Development
  • Maintain working knowledge and oversee consumer and real estate lending, including underwriting, pricing, and portfolio management.
  • Lead lending strategies that balance growth, risk management, and member needs.
  • Promote business development and relationship‑building with law enforcement agencies, unions, and community partners statewide.
Culture & Talent Development
  • Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous learning among staff.
  • Mentor and develop employees to expand their financial and operational knowledge, supporting internal growth and leadership readiness.
