Essential Duties and Responsibilities Production Oversight and Leadership Supervise and lead a team of production workers, providing clear direction and ensuring that production targets are achieved on time and within budget.
Monitor and adjust production schedules to meet customer demand, ensuring that production goals are consistently met.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to workers, ensuring that all team members understand their roles and tasks for each shift.
Provide guidance and support to staff, helping them to troubleshoot issues, enhance their skills, and meet performance expectations.
Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to employees to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
Quality Control and Continuous Improvement Ensure that products meet quality standards by overseeing quality control measures throughout the production process.
Identify any quality defects, report issues, and collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions.
Implement and encourage a culture of continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for process enhancements, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, such as defect rates, downtime, and throughput, and develop strategies to improve them.
Safety and Compliance Ensure that all production activities comply with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe and compliant workplace.
Oversee and enforce the use of PPE (personal protective equipment), safe work practices, and adherence to safety protocols.
Report and address any safety hazards or incidents immediately, ensuring that corrective actions are taken.
Ensure that OSHA and other regulatory standards are followed in all aspects of production and workplace operations.
Resource and Inventory Management Ensure that materials and resources required for production are available in sufficient quantities, coordinating with the supply chain or inventory team to prevent shortages.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, finished goods, and consumables, ensuring stock levels are optimized.
Manage production tools and equipment, ensuring that they are properly maintained and operating efficiently.
Coordinate equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and disruptions in production.
Team Development and Employee Engagement Promote a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, collaboration, and employee morale.
Train new employees and cross-train existing staff to ensure that team members are multi-skilled and able to adapt to different production roles.
Encourage team members to contribute ideas for process improvements and recognize achievements in meeting production goals.
Handle employee performance issues, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution in a professional and consistent manner.
Reporting and Communication Communicate production status, any delays, and potential issues to management regularly, ensuring that leadership is kept informed of the status of production runs.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on production metrics, including output, downtime, and quality issues.
Ensure that employees are kept informed of any changes in procedures, schedules, or safety protocols.
Collaborate with other departments such as maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics to coordinate operations and resolve production-related issues.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred).Experience and/or Training:3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
Proven experience with production planning, resource management, and team leadership.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
