Interior Craftsperson, Wood Finisher - Day Shift

Your contributions to the team include fabricating, installing and refurbishing aircraft interior equipment and furnishings, with a focus on wood finishing, per work order or customer request. You will perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required. You will adhere to Bombardier general work requirements and comply with environmental health/safety policies/procedures. You will participate in 5-S activities and assist with additional work on drop-ins and planned maintenance within the facility during slow periods of unplanned work as needed.

You will clean aircraft as required and travel on international assignments if required. You will assist with maintenance at off-site locations as needed and assist with other maintenance disciplines as needed.

To thrive in this role, you typically have 3-5 years of interiors experience on corporate aircraft. You demonstrate the ability to break down cabinets, remove hardware, inlay, strip finish utilizing heat and scraper, sand and prep raw veneer and hardwood for finish, including touching up defects in veneer, mix match and apply stains and paints on new veneers, have knowledge on spraying polyester base coats and urethane top coats, have experience with aircraft touch up, demonstrate the ability to mask and unmask components for finish process, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, demonstrate the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings, demonstrate the ability to communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status, and have basic PC skills.
