Responsible for operating automated butt-welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components in a manufacturing environment. This role involves machine setup, tooling changes, quality inspections, material handling, and maintaining a safe, organized work area while ensuring compliance with established production processes and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Performs oxy/acetylene butt-welds (loading weld machine, not actually doing hand welds)
- Set up correct tooling for machine
- Performs quality inspection of welded WSL parts
- Maintains a clean and organized workstation / 5S
- Understands all processes and specification within the department and reports to Supervisor any discrepancies in line specifications.
- Load and unload material using hoist / moving finished material when rack is full using a pallet jack.
Desired Background/
Skills:
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience operating automated welding equipment or similar industrial machinery.
- Ability to perform quality inspections and follow detailed specifications and work instructions.
- Experience safely using material handling equipment, including hoists and pallet jacks.
