Corporate Groups Urban Farming

Overview

Chrysalis Center is a private, non-profit, socially innovative multiservice organization that serves individuals and families living in the State of Connecticut. Chrysalis Center helps those living in poverty, veterans, men, women, children, and young adults who are struggling with mental health, addiction, HIV/AIDS, homelessness, and those returning from incarceration.

We are currently seeking corporate groups to join us Fridays in July, 9–12am, to help with our urban garden. The produce we grow goes directly back to our community;
Hartford has a large food desert, meaning many residents do not have access to fresh, healthy food. Our gardens provide thousands of pounds of affordable and nutritious produce through our food pantry, farmers market, and kitchen training programs.
