Field Organizer
The Ruth Fortune for Congress campaign is hiring a full-time Lead Field Organizer to join its growing team in Connecticut. The Lead Field Organizer will be responsible for mobilizing voters, coordinating volunteers, and building a robust field program in the First Congressional District.
The ideal candidate is curious, hard-working, and committed to fighting for Connecticut families and our democracy.

Hours:
Full-time, including willingness to work nights and weekends.
Pay: $1,000 per week
Benefits:
Supporter housing is available for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, develop, and lead teams of volunteers
- Contact voters directly through door-to-door canvassing, text, and phone banking
- Represent the campaign at community events
- Collaborate with campaign leadership to set voter contact goals and track metrics
- Staff the candidate at events and help keep notes and follow-ups
- Manage the Vote builder database and support the candidate as needed
Qualifications
- Willingness to work in CT
- Ability to work irregular hours, including weekends
- Previous campaign experience
- Experience with Vote Builder
- Strong technology and organizational skills
- Must have access to a cell phone, vehicle, and ability to relocate if necessary
