Hartford Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center offering cutting‑edge treatment. The Float Pool, known as the STAR Team, consists of experienced, highly skilled nursing professionals who can transition between specialties with confidence and ease. As a member of the Med/Surg group, you will float among approximately 18 units, including Step Down units. Critical Care RNs primarily float among the six ICUs (MICU, SICU, Cardiac ICU, Neuro ICU, and Cardiothoracic ICU).
RNs must have extensive nursing skills and strong communication and collaboration abilities to assimilate seamlessly into different units and provide personalized, compassionate care to patients.
- Minimum two years recent Acute Care RN experience. Critical Care experience preferred.
- Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school (BSN preferred).
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association required.
