This role offers the unique opportunity to strengthen your resume as an Inpatient Hold RN, with preference for those skilled in caring for Emergency Department patients as well. Schedule/Hours:

• Night shifts: 7:00p - 7:30a
• 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend rotation

Qualifications:

• Current RN license, valid in the state of Connecticut
• Prior experience in Med-Surg nursing required
• ACUITY:
  Must manage inpatient holds and preferably able to care for ED patient assignments
• BLS certification (additional certifications preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and adaptability skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to patients in inpatient hold and, when needed, in the Emergency Department
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support patient safety and positive outcomes
• Conduct patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document in the EMR
• Manage complex, changing patient acuity efficiently
• Educate patients and families, supporting transitions of care
