Description
Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant II to join our team of mission-driven healthcare caretakers. Responsibilities- Collect and report patient information and data
- Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
- Patient transport
- Collection of specimens
- Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
- Deliver ice and beverages to patients
- As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience. - Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required.
- Certification:
Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required. BLS certification required. - Ability to pass drug screening and background check
- Experience:
5 years of previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English and do simple math problems. Experience using a computer highly desirable.
