Nurse Assistant II Part Time Nights

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant II to join our team of mission-driven healthcare caretakers. This person is responsible for assisting while providing exceptional care to patients with a variety of medical conditions.

Part time

Night Shift

• Collect and report patient information and data
• Help patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, diet, fluid intake, skin care, bathing and dressing, positioning, transfers, mobility and ambulation
• Patient transport
• Collection of specimens
• Distribution of linens and supplies to patient rooms
• Deliver ice and beverages to patients
• As assigned, stays with at-risk patients to monitor patient safety

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent. Graduate of a Connecticut approved Nurse Aide Training Program preferred or in process of earning a BA in Nursing OR Health Sciences with at least one clinical completed OR significant previous healthcare related experience.
• Proof with college transcript required OR have significant nurse assistant/healthcare related experience is required.
• Certification:
  Current Connecticut Nurse Aide Registry certification required. BLS certification required.
• Ability to pass drug screening and background check

• Experience:
  
  5 years of previous experience as a Nursing Assistant in an acute care setting preferred. Ability to read, write and speak English and do simple math problems. Experience using a computer highly desirable.
