Hartford Hospital seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their Neurocritical Care team. The Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are part of a multidisciplinary team that plans and delivers care for critical neuroscience patients, focusing on neurological and neurosurgical diseases and related disorders. The patient population includes complex strokes, skull base surgery, status epilepticus, tumor resections, spinal cord injury, DBS, and other complex conditions.
APPs rotate in the intensive care unit and step‑down units.

Under established guidelines and in collaboration or supervision with the practice physician(s), APPs perform routine physical examinations, formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans, and treat patients within their scope of practice. In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, APPs develop plans for further evaluation and refer to specialists when appropriate. APPs provide appropriate treatment for problems within their scope and refer outside cases to physicians.

Certified or board‑eligible Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner - Experience:
