Advanced Practitioners - Surgery

• Exciting leadership opportunity for a Manager of Advanced Practice within the Department of Surgery
• Provide leadership to advanced practice providers (APPs) on Thoracic and Plastic Surgery services
• Implement and monitor institutional and departmental goals and objectives for APPs aligned with organizational strategic direction
• Conduct individual performance evaluations for APPs within management area
• Oversee APP scheduling, Kronos payroll, and resource utilization in collaboration with surgical residencies
• Participate in recruitment, interviewing, and hiring processes for new APPs
• Ensure timely credentialing and re-credentialing (including OPPE/FPPE) in compliance with Medical Staff By-laws and Rules and Regulations
• Clinical responsibilities include managing multiple patients with varied critical illness and first-assisting in the OR
• Perform comprehensive physical assessments and interpretation of diagnostic results
• Complete daily progress notes and provide patient/family education and meetings
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday days with 24-hour availability for urgent needs
• Weekend, off-shift, and holiday rotation required with premium differentials offered
• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Master's program required
• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience within Thoracic or Plastic Surgery required
• Demonstrated ability to positively interact with medical/nursing staff and multidisciplinary team members
• Willingness to learn and demonstrate proficiency in invasive procedures
• Qualified operative first assisting required
