OpportunityAdvanced Practitioners - Women's Health / Menopause Care
Responsibilities- Join the in‑demand Menopause Care team at a Women’s Ambulatory Health Services office in Hartford.
- Provide consultation for evidence‑based, high‑quality perimenopause and menopause care, including hormone replacement therapy and non‑hormonal options.
- Work with menopause experts and leaders in the fields of Menopause and Obstetrics/gynecology Education.
- See patients referred from across the system for consultation and follow‑up visits.
- Provide holistic, quality, and cost‑effective care for women across the lifespan and across the healthcare continuum.
- Engage in independent decision‑making regarding women’s healthcare while functioning collaboratively with nurses, residents, and attending physicians.
- Provide midlife and menopause care, including hormone replacement therapy.
- Conduct annual gynecologic exams and health maintenance screenings.
- Manage contraceptive care and perform gynecologic procedures such as LARC device insertions.
- Screen and treat for STIs and manage gynecologic problem visits.
- Have the opportunity to teach and mentor trainees.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Nurse‑Midwifery Master’s program preferred.
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Physician Assistant or APRN in the state of Connecticut.
- Labor and delivery experience required; specific experience in women’s health specialty strongly preferred.
- Menopause Certification is desirable; support for obtaining certification while working is offered.
- Monday through Friday schedule with no call requirements – excellent work‑life balance.
- Reports to the Medical Director and either Nurse Manager or Practice Manager at Women’s Ambulatory Health.
- Compensation:
Employed salary with benefits.
