About This Role

The Patient Care Administrative Nurse Supervisor is an experienced Registered Nurse responsible for supervising and monitoring the Nursing department(s) on an assigned shift. This role provides leadership across multiple hospital departments, ensuring the delivery of quality patient care and fostering a positive nursing practice environment.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise and monitor nursing departments in accordance with standards and regulations.
  • Provide leadership in the absence of unit managers or directors.
  • Ensure appropriate delivery of direct and indirect patient care.
  • Implement evidence-based strategies to transform care delivery.
  • Analyze data and compose actionable process improvement reports.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Logistics Center to manage patient observation resources.
  • Facilitate and evaluate clinical quality initiatives.
  • Create a positive environment for the professional practice of nursing.
  • Direct continuous improvement within quality and safety measures.
Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required

Experience:

  • 3 years of acute care charge or supervisory experience required
  • Critical care or emergency department nursing experience may be required

Licenses &

Certifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse license from the State of Connecticut
  • Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
  • Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
