Registered Nurse (RN, GN) - Medicine Units

About This Role

Hartford Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses (RN, GN) for their Specialty Medical Nursing Units. This role is ideal for experienced nurses, student nurses, and recent graduates looking to develop their skills in a supportive environment.

• Location: Hartford, CT
• Facility: Hartford Hospital
• Department/Unit: Medicine Units
• Schedule: Full Time, Variable shifts

• Provide holistic care to patients and their families in the Specialty Medicine Units.
• Collaborate with a team to deliver care for a variety of acute care conditions.
• Participate in the Nurse Residency Program for graduate RNs with less than one year of experience.
• Utilize research, innovation, and evidence-based practices in patient care.
• Develop critical thinking, delegation, and time management skills.
• Engage in professional and interpersonal development and growth.
• Access additional learning opportunities during the Nurse Residency program.

Education:

• ASN required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role)

Experience:

• Experience in acute care preferred

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date
• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required
