The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medicine Step Down unit at Hartford Health Care provides patient-centered care in a collaborative environment. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in fast-paced settings and are committed to delivering high-quality care to patients with complex medical issues.

• Location: Hartford, CT
• Facility: Hartford Hospital
• Department/Unit: Medicine Svc Bliss 11S
• Schedule: Full Time, Nights

• Utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act.
• Develop a plan of care addressing the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families.
• Provide care to patients with complex medical issues, including respiratory failure and sepsis.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care.
• Work under the supervision of a Critical Care Pulmonologist.
• Engage in a fast-paced environment that challenges critical thinking and communication skills.
• Participate in the care of the pulmonary hypertension population.
• Ensure adherence to hospital policies and procedures as directed by medical staff.

Education:

• BSN required

Experience:

• Current Connecticut RN License prior to Orientation

Licenses &

Certifications:

• BLS certification by the American Heart Association required prior to Orientation
