About This Role
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro Surgical ICU provides specialized care for critically ill neuroscience and neurosurgical patients. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a team-based environment and are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
Highlights- Location: Hartford, CT
- Facility: Hartford Hospital
- Department/Unit: Neuro-Surgical ICU
- Schedule: Full Time, Rotating shifts
- Monitor intracranial pressures and brain tissue oxygenation.
- Perform hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients.
- Collaborate with Neuro-intensivists, Physician Assistants, and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
- Provide family-centered care to patients and their families.
- Deliver expertise at the bedside in critical care settings.
- Work as part of a team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Education:
- BSN required
- Minimum one year of Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred
Certifications:
- Current Connecticut RN License
- BLS certification by the American Heart Association
- ACLS certification
- Proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire
