The Supervisor Assisted Living Services Agency (SALSA) reports to the Administrator of the Avery Heights Home Health Agency and is responsible for the overall supervision, provision, and quality of care provided under the Assisted Living Services Agency license.
Additional responsibilities include selection, training, discipline and supervision for all nurses and nurses' aides. Coordinates with outside agencies in support of client needs within the community. Paid on call rotation approximately every five weeks. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. SALSA is a Registered Nurse licensed to practice in CT state who has one of the following:
- a baccalaureate degree in nursing and a minimum of two (2) full time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing, at least one (1) of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home; or
- a diploma or associate degree in nursing and at least four (4) years full time or full-time equivalent clinical experience in nursing within the past ten (10) years, at least one (1) year of which shall be in a home health care agency or community health program that included care of the sick at home.
Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. Must be able to maintain professionalism, use prudent judgment, and work well under pressure. Must possess strong organizational skills and be able to work well independently. Starting Salary $100,000
