The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Neuro Surgical ICU provides specialized care for critically ill neuroscience and neurosurgical patients. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a team-based environment and are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

• Location: Hartford, CT
• Facility: Hartford Hospital
• Department/Unit: Neuro-Surgical ICU
• Schedule: Full Time, Rotating shifts

• Monitor intracranial pressures and brain tissue oxygenation.
• Perform hemodynamic monitoring for critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with Neuro-intensivists, Physician Assistants, and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses.
• Provide family-centered care to patients and their families.
• Deliver expertise at the bedside in a compassionate manner.
• Participate in a team-based approach to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

• Education: BSN required
• Experience: Minimum one year Acute Care RN experience strongly preferred
• Licenses &

  • Current Connecticut RN License
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS certification
  • Proof of Arrhythmia Certification required prior to date of hire
