About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the OR Neuro Spine department provides specialized nursing care in the Operating Room, focusing on neuro and spine surgeries. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

• Pay:
• Location: Hartford, CT
• Facility: Hartford Hospital
• Department/Unit: OR Neuro Spine
• Schedule: Full Time, Day shift
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $30,000

• Function as Circulator/Scrub Nurse in the Operating Room.
• Organize and administer individualized patient care in the Operating Room.
• Provide nursing care in accordance with hospital policies and AORN, ASPAN, and SGNA standards.
• Participate in patient teaching and incorporate specific age/cultural needs in care planning.
• Engage in quality improvement activities.
• Deliver specialized care for patients undergoing neuro and spine surgeries.
• Ensure patient safety and well-being throughout complex procedures.

• BSN preferred

• Previous OR experience required
• OR Novice nurses, including Graduate Nurses, may apply to the OR Nurse Transition to Practice Program

• Current active CT RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire
• CNOR certification preferred
