About This Role

The RN Oncology Practice role at Hartford Health Care involves providing holistic, quality nursing care for patients and families within the Medical Oncology Practice. This position is ideal for nurses who thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment and are passionate about oncology care.

• Location: Hartford, CT
• Facility: Hartford Health Care Cancer Institute
• Schedule: Full Time, Four ten-hour shifts (Monday-Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm)

• Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up.
• Schedule patients for treatments and triage patient phone calls.
• Manage a caseload of patients receiving a variety of infusion therapies on an outpatient basis.
• Collaborate with referring physician offices to coordinate therapies.
• Multi-task efficiently while providing the safest, highest quality care.
• Participate in the implementation of clinical support programs to ensure optimal care.
• Engage with the HHC Cancer Institute at local, regional, and system levels.

• BSN strongly preferred
• OCN preferred

• Two (2) years of previous oncology nursing experience strongly preferred

• Current Connecticut RN License
• BLS required at time of hire
