About the Opportunity
Our Client is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to support Overhaul & Repair (O/R) operations for a leading aerospace manufacturing client. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across operations, while serving as a key liaison between internal teams, suppliers, and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure product quality and compliance with FAA, EASA, AS9100, NADCAP, and ISO standards
- Act as the primary quality contact for customers and suppliers
- Conduct internal audits and support regulatory compliance initiatives
- Maintain and manage quality records, manuals, and regulatory documentation
- Review and approve purchase orders and contracts from a quality standpoint
- Lead and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve non-conformances
- Perform supplier evaluations and audits
- Support inspection activities and assist with teardown reports and quality documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive process improvements and quality initiatives
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Measurement systems and inspection techniques
- Manufacturing processes and methods
- Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Experience with AS9100, ISO, and NADCAP quality systems
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Familiarity with FAA/EASA regulations and Airworthiness Directives
- Experience in aerospace or overhaul & repair environments
- Background in supplier quality and audit processes
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands regularly
- Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs
- Ability to work in both office and shop environments
