Job Description
We are seeking a Quality Supervisor to lead receiving inspection activities within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving inspection quality, process consistency, workflow efficiency, employee development, and accountability across inspection operations.
The Quality Supervisor will provide leadership to inspection personnel, partner closely with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams, and ensure incoming material inspections are completed accurately and efficiently. This position plays a key role in maintaining product quality standards while supporting operational performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities- Lead and supervise receiving inspection operations.
- Provide direction, coaching, and support to inspection personnel.
- Establish and maintain inspection standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Promote accountability, consistency, and process discipline within the inspection team.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Operations teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Ensure incoming material inspections are completed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality requirements.
- Monitor inspection workflows and identify opportunities to improve throughput and effectiveness.
- Support employee development through coaching, training, and performance management.
- Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and manufacturing processes.
- Communicate quality expectations, priorities, and performance metrics effectively across teams.
- Promote a culture of quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
- Experience leading or supervising quality inspection activities within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working within regulated or quality-driven manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in blueprint interpretation and dimensional inspection techniques.
- Experience supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with quality management systems such as AS9100 and ISO 9001.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively coach, develop, and support employee growth.
- Experience collaborating with manufacturing, engineering, and supplier quality teams.
- Inspection experience utilizing precision measurement equipment, including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators, and hard gaging.
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience implementing process improvements and standard work practices.
- Experience supporting receiving inspection, in-process inspection, or supplier quality activities.
- Ability to drive consistency, accountability, and operational discipline across teams.
- Experience working within aerospace, medical device, precision manufacturing, or similarly regulated industries.
This position operates within a collaborative precision manufacturing environment and involves regular interaction with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Supplier Quality teams. The role requires a visible presence within production and inspection areas to support team leadership, employee development, workflow management, and quality initiatives. The environment is fast-paced and focused on maintaining high quality standards while supporting operational objectives.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of West Hartford, CT.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
