The Kitchen Supervisor supports the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in leading daily culinary operations for a full-service Marriott hotel. This role oversees kitchen staff, ensures high standards of food quality, presentation, sanitation, and safety, and assists in maintaining efficient and cost-effective kitchen operations. The Kitchen Supervisor models Marriott service standards while fostering a positive, team-oriented work environment.
- Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent food preparation and presentation in accordance with Marriott brand standards.
- Confirm all closing duties are completed for both culinary and stewards.
- You will be scheduled to work certain stations behind the line.
- Support banquet, restaurant, room service, and lounge outlets with timely and high-quality food production.
- Assign and monitor duties for line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards.
- Food Quality & Safety
- Monitor food production to ensure taste, consistency, and portion control.
- Ensure all food is prepared and stored in compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards (including HACCP and Marriott requirements).
- Inspect kitchen equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Training & Development
- Train and mentor culinary team members in Marriott standards, safety practices, and recipe adherence.
- Assist in onboarding new culinary associates and conducting skills development sessions.
- Provide feedback and coaching to team members to improve performance.
- Administrative Support
- Assist in inventory control, and receiving of products.
- Help manage food costs and minimize waste.
- Guest & Associate Relations
- Uphold Marriott’s commitment to service excellence by supporting culinary contributions to guest satisfaction.
- Foster a respectful, safe, and inclusive work environment.
- Work closely with banquet and front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills-Ability to be organized in a changing environment.
- Ability to maintain a calm professional demeanor.
- Prepares great food with great service and a great attitude.
- Must have strong knowledge and expertise of preparing Breakfast foods in a fast-paced environment.
- Projects and assignments are completed thoroughly, professionally and with care in a timely manner.

- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
