Territory Account Manager | Fuel, Convenience & Multi-Unit Retail (Northeast or Carolinas)

Our client, a leading wholesale fuel and convenience retail organization, is seeking Territory Account Managers to support multiple territories throughout the Northeast and Carolinas. This is a field-based role ideal for a relationship-driven professional who enjoys working directly with independent business owners and operators. The successful candidate will build long-term customer relationships, support operational excellence, maintain brand standards, identify opportunities for business growth, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout an assigned territory.

Candidates must currently reside within one of the listed territories, as this role requires frequent local travel, regular site visits, and daily interaction with customers throughout the assigned market. Relocation assistance is not available. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting fuel, convenience retail, franchise, dealer, or branded retail environments where customer relationships, operational consistency, brand standards, mystery shop programs, or multi-location operations were key responsibilities.

Fuel industry experience is beneficial but not required.

• Must currently reside within one of the listed territories and be able to travel regularly throughout the assigned market.
• 2+ years of experience in account management, territory management, district management, multi-unit operations, retail operations, customer success, or outside sales.
• Experience building relationships with business owners, franchisees, dealers, or store operators.
• Background in fuel, convenience retail, franchise operations, multi-unit retail, distribution, or related industries highly preferred.
• Experience supporting branded retail environments, operational standards, customer experience initiatives, operational audits, or mystery shop programs is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Comfortable traveling regularly to customer locations throughout the assigned territory.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with independently owned convenience-store and fuel-retail operators throughout an assigned territory.
• Conduct regular site visits to support customer relationships, operational initiatives, and overall business performance.
• Partner with customers to improve brand standards, operational execution, customer experience, and image scores.
• Provide guidance and support during dealer onboarding, site transitions, and ongoing operational initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal Operations, Marketing, Maintenance, and Leadership teams to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen existing customer relationships while supporting continued territory growth.
• Monitor market conditions, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Maintain accurate reporting, documentation, and communication regarding customer activities and territory performance.
