As coordination support, the role will involve all fragrance related tasks under the supervision of the fragrance coordinator. In this role, the support function will be responsible for collecting all required information for fragrance briefings and tracking to completion, request necessary paperwork and complete fragrance coding, maintain internal fragrance domain and local fragrance library, support fragrance evaluations, and liaise with core fragrance houses on new technologies and innovations.

Previous experience with fragrance development and/or testing is preferred, but not required. As an laboratory technician, the role will involve formulations of hair related products under a supervision and direction of experienced Scientist or Supervisor. In this role, the chemist will be responsible to make batches in the lab, test finished products, document work and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.

Additionally, the chemist may be responsible to collect raw material data from suppliers and update formulation system. Previous experience within R&D development and testing is preferred, but not required.

Understand, utilize and document within laboratory notebook and Enginuity every batch made with details of reason for the batch, batching notes, batch specification results and other test results as applicable. Communicate formulation stability and efficacy results and issues promptly and thoroughly as well as make recommendations for change/improvements when stability or efficacy testing fails. Interact with raw material vendors and other industry representatives to further expand on the understanding of their products, technologies and services.

Assist in the maintenance of laboratory raw materials, glassware, supplies and waste removal. Actively participate in the development of new and innovative products or technologies with interdepartmental colleagues. Communicate effectively and routinely with supervisor and, as needed, colleagues on all projects. Gain a working knowledge of laboratory equipment utilized to evaluate the physical and performance attributes of various product types.

Maintain an organized, clean and tidy laboratory and cubicle workspace.
