• Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
• Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
• Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT.
• Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions
• Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
• Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs
• Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
• Collaborate with Clin ops on trials from feasibility to execution

• Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline
• Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one‑on‑one conversations and in small group dialogues
• Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment
• 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
• Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
• Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
• Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment
• Excellent project management ability
• Ability to travel (40‑60% by car, train and plane domestic)

• Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline

This territory covers Northern NY, NJ & CT

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $174,455-$261,682. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short‑term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity‑based long‑term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles).
