- Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs.
- Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings (e.g. academia, hospitals, managed markets, private practices)
- Lead scientific exchanges with oncologists and key members of the MDT.
- Lead peer to peer scientific/medical interactions
- Gather insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barrier to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
- Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs
- Stay current with scientific knowledge and attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences.
- Collaborate with Clin ops on trials from feasibility to execution
- Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline
- Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one‑on‑one conversations and in small group dialogues
- Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment
- 2+ years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
- Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
- Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
- Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment
- Excellent project management ability
- Ability to travel (40‑60% by car, train and plane domestic)
- Doctorate strongly preferred in a health science or clinical discipline
This territory covers Northern NY, NJ & CT
BenefitsThe annual base salary for this position ranges from $174,455-$261,682. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short‑term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity‑based long‑term incentive program (salaried roles) or to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program (401(k) plan);
paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
