** Hartford, CT** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access points, assist with badge and/or visitor entry as needed, and communicate clearly with staff and guests while documenting observations.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.

+ Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.

+ Control access through designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials when required, and directing guests to appropriate areas per site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, documenting events, and coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.

+ Complete routine reports and logs, communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and follow post orders for shift turnovers and key control where assigned.

* + Be 21+ years of age.

+ Being comfortable using computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Having access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
