Job Summary
The Greeter/Security Staff position involves providing a consistent, welcoming, and secure experience to internal staff members and patients. The Greeter actively welcomes patients and visitors to the sites, invites them to check in for appointments via kiosks or the front desk, supports the patient’s use of the kiosk, aids way finding to correct waiting areas, and informs patients of agency priorities and initiatives.
It is essential that they maintain and improve job‑specific competencies and perform other duties as assigned.
- Warmly greet and assist patients, visitors, and vendors upon arrival
- Provide directions and facility information with professionalism and courtesy
- Encourage and assist patients with kiosk sign‑in; redirect to front desk as appropriate
- Answer general inquiries and assist with way finding inside the facility
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high‑stress or emotional situations
- Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas (including parking lot) for suspicious behavior or safety concerns
- Ensure all non‑staff members have left the facility at close of operations (as applicable)
- Polite and professional enforcement of facility policies, including access control
- Work closely with site management and staff to prevent potential incidents
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies in accordance with procedures
- Report and document security incidents and unusual activity
- Assist with de‑escalation and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency responders as needed
- Associates degree, Medical Assistant, or other applicable certification
- Relevant customer service and site security experience
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Excellent observation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multitask, problem‑solve, and apply critical thinking skills
- Bilingual skills required (Spanish)
Hours will vary; schedules range Monday–Friday 7am–7pm and weekends. Must be able to stand for extended periods and operate a computer or tablet.
