Overview
Our client, a leading provider of commercial HVAC and refrigeration services, is seeking an HVAC Technician to join their team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Technical Services department supporting maintenance and repair of refrigeration and HVAC systems. The ideal candidate will have strong refrigeration skills, problem-solving abilities, and excellent time management, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: HVAC Technician
Location: Hartford, CT
Pay Range: $44 H/r
- Maintain mechanical and electrical equipment for commercial HVAC systems at various facilities.
- Conduct proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance to ensure optimal operation.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Install, repair, and adjust HVAC and refrigeration systems, including walk-in coolers and freezers.
- Plan routes based on assigned calls and service locations, working independently with supplied work vehicle.
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience; experience with refrigeration systems preferred.
- Universal EPA license and valid driver’s license required.
- Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs/ladders, and lift/carry loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Strong refrigeration skills, especially with refrigerant systems and walk-in coolers/freezers.
- Proficiency with basic work routines, troubleshooting, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Opportunity to work in a dynamic environment servicing multiple locations.
- Supplied work vehicle for daily service routes.
- Potential for contract extension and eventual conversion to full-time employment.

- Work hours Monday through Friday, with some voluntary overtime and on-call opportunities.
