Crew Lead – Pavement Maintenance
We are seeking a reliable, experienced, and motivated crew lead to oversee field operations across a range of pavement maintenance and repair services. This role is responsible for leading a crew in the successful completion of projects including infrared pothole repair, seal coating, crack sealing, line striping, concrete repair, and power washing. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of managing job sites from start to finish while ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and efficient production.
This is a working leadership role requiring both field execution and crew supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a field crew performing a variety of pavement maintenance services including:
- Infrared pothole repair
- Asphalt seal coating
- Crack sealing
- Pavement marking / line striping
- Concrete repair and patching
- Surface preparation and power washing
- Ensure all work is completed to company standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
- Operate a variety of equipment including:
- Striping machines and spray systems
- Seal coating equipment
- Crack sealing melters and applicators
- Infrared repair units
- Power washers and surface prep tools
- Read and interpret job scopes, layouts, and markings to ensure accurate execution of work.
- Oversee daily job site setup, production workflow, and cleanup.
- Maintain productivity, quality control, and jobsite safety at all times.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, customers, and internal team members.
- Train, mentor, and support crew members to improve performance and consistency.
- Track materials, equipment usage, and crew hours; complete daily job reports accurately.
- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for use.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in pavement maintenance, construction, asphalt, concrete, or commercial painting/striping a plus.
- Prior supervisory or crew lead experience strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain DOT eligibility.
- Experience driving a work truck with trailer (including backing, loading, and safe transport of equipment).
- Experience operating or willingness to learn multiple types of field equipment.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA compliance.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- CDL a plus but not required.
- Willingness to work nights, early mornings, and weekends as needed (many projects are off-hours).
Compensation: $35.00 per hour
