About The Opportunity
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing both mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations across production equipment and facility systems. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Maintenance personnel ensure all machinery, equipment, and facility systems are maintained in proper working order to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations.
Hours2nd Shift: 2:00PM-10:00PM or 3rd Shift: 10PM-6AM
PayMechanical $33-38/hr
Electrical $38-46/hr
Responsibilities- Perform mechanical and electrical repairs and installations on production machinery, equipment, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical issues to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain and repair machinery and production equipment to ensure continuous and reliable operation.
- Respond to and perform emergency mechanical and electrical repairs as required.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and facilities according to established schedules.
- Design, modify, and fabricate parts or special items as specified by work orders or operational needs.
- Complete a variety of maintenance-related work including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general facility projects.
- Perform painting, groundskeeping, housekeeping, and other tasks to maintain the appearance and condition of the facility and grounds.
- Prioritize and complete work orders based on urgency and operational impact.
- Participate in equipment installations, upgrades, and the fabrication of custom mechanical or electrical components.
- Order, organize, and maintain inventory of materials, parts, and supplies; communicate with outside vendors as needed.
- Assist with training and coaching employees on the safe and proper operation and basic maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management or supervisors.
- Safety-sensitive position requiring the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and follow all safety procedures.
- Working knowledge of mechanical systems (motors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics, hydraulics) and electrical systems (control panels, wiring, sensors, motors).
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and electrical prints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and rotating shifts based on business needs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, production-based environment with moving equipment and personnel.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools such as drills, saws, mills, grinders, and welders.
