Fire Sprinkler Service Technician

Position Location: This role reports into our Cromwell, CT branch location, which serves customers throughout the greater Hartford, CT area.

Fire Sprinkler Systems Service Technicians play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our Smart Buildings. They are responsible for the service and maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems, ensuring components are inspected, tested, operated, and maintained according to customer requirements. They also mentor other technicians and serve as the face of Siemens to customers.

• Execute comprehensive testing and inspections for systems under maintenance agreements
• Create detailed test and inspection reports based on code requirements and customer needs
• Swiftly respond to, troubleshoot, and complete necessary repairs to maintain system functionality; report on activities completed, deferred, or requiring further action or material
• Identify code and non-conformance issues, ensuring adherence to required standards
• Quote small repair jobs and provide detailed parts and labor requirements to estimators and sales for large repair projects
• Plan work with Supervisors to strategize tasks effectively

Basic Qualifications:

• 2+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial Fire Sprinkler Systems
• Connecticut F2 journeyman's license
• Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet; carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Ability to read/understand design and construction documents
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
• Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma, Associate degree in electronics or related field
• 5+ years’ experience in the installation and/or maintenance of commercial fire alarm systems

The pay range for this position is $72,757 - $124,726 annual salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
