Position OverviewWe are seeking a Field Service Technician with experience in motors and pumps to join our growing team in Hartford, CT. This is a field-based role requiring both technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will travel to client sites to perform hands‑on service work and ensure the operational integrity of mission-critical equipment.

- Install, inspect, service, and repair electric motors and pump systems at customer locations
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in field settings
- Perform preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime
- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Clearly document all service work, parts used, and recommendations
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding service findings and maintenance best practices
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with REM Industrial standards and OSHA regulations
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely parts procurement and job completion
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance, electromechanical tech, or a related field is a plus
- 2+ years of experience in field service, maintenance, or repair of industrial motors and pumps
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read and work from technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Excellent troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
- Professional communication skills and a commitment to customer satisfaction
- Ability to work independently, manage time, and travel locally or regionally as needed
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
