Lead Structures Technician

Your contributions to the team include troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and performing maintenance on customer aircraft; fabricating and modifying structural modifications on aircraft parts; performing minor structural repairs on composite components; assisting in conducting hidden damage inspection of aircraft structures; assisting with complex structural repairs; assisting with aircraft component repair; removing/installing aircraft components; complying with environmental health and safety policies; participating in 5-S activities;
performing work in a safe and timely manner; operating ground support equipment; assisting with mechanical/electrical removals and installations; assisting with maintenance at off-site locations; assisting with towing aircraft; and adhering to Bombardier general work requirements.
To thrive in this role, you have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling; have at least 3 years working with corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair/modification; have at least 5 years of experience in structural sheet metal, repair/modification, or a closely related field; have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings;
have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and/or aircraft status; own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools; have the ability to obtain appropriate ground support equipment (GSE) qualifications as required; are able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays; are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside;
have the ability to obtain a security identification display area badge (SIDA) if applicable; have an A Certification, A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate (preferred); and have basic PC skills.
